Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. At the age of five years old when she left for Oxfordshire and enrolled in the Dragon School. At the age of six, Emma realized she was going to become an actress and for many years she was a student at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied performing and singing. At the age of ten the actress took part in as the lead in several Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Casting began in 1999 for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that, after auditioning for eight times they and Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. It was also the most successful film in 2001. Its opening weekend and day the sales were record breaking. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film as well as the performance by three main young actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma's performance was nominated and won five awards later for the film.
