Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Growing up, she listened to lots of classical music as well as the traditional boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos as well as opera and other dramatic kinds. She began singing and learning music with her mother, before beginning her singing training when she was sixteen with world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The singer continued her education in the field of music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She performed on stage in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young college student as well as a professional. In 2000 she moved into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she re-located to her present home in Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for the arts, music, and performing keep her engaged in a myriad of local activities in the roles of teacher and performer. Ana is also a past singer in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity give others a taste of her enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to help keep the tradition alive.
