She was able to film five additional projects between the two "Twilight films. The Oscar award for best supporting actress was awarded to her for her performance opposite George Clooney on that project. Since then, she has appeared in a variety of commercially and critically acclaimed projects such as "Scott Pilgrim vs. Anna Cook Kendrick was birthed in Portland, Maine on August 9th in 1985. Her mother worked as an accountant, while her father was a history teacher. She was raised alongside an older brother, Michael, who also became an actor. Anna Kendrick began auditioning for Broadway shows when she was a teenager in Deering High School in Portland. She was 12 years old when she got her first big theater role in High Society. She was a gifted young actress who was awarded many nominations and awards. Later in 2003, she made her debut in the musical A Little Night Music. The following year, she made her film debut in the film Camp at the age of 15 years old. Kendrick was nominated for the performance, along with her appearance in Rocket Science 2007 at age 15.
